FAQs

Q What is the best time of year to lay turf?

A Turf can be laid anytime of the year, however it is best to avoid heat waves or heavy frost.

Q How long will the turf last once it has been delivered?

A All turf is freshly cut on the day of delivery so it will last for 48hrs in the shade, however it is best to lay the turf within 24hrs if possible.

Q What aftercare is needed once the turf is laid?

A The turf will need to be thoroughly watered for two weeks and after this period it will need to be mowed. Fertilise your lawn at least twice annually.

Q How short should I cut the grass?

A The length of cut is dependent on the choice of turf and varied between 1” and 2.5” but do remember never to take any more than 1/3 off the length in one cut.

Q Will I require topsoil beneath my turf?

A You would only require top grade screened soil if the existing soil is of poor quality. (See products page)

Q How soon can I arrange a delivery?

A Please go to our delivery page for full details
