Laying your new lawn
Try to brake up your pallets into smaller sections leaving enough space for ventilation, as turf needs plenty of air to breathe. You should not water turf while it is still rolled up, this will increase the turf heating process and is not good for turf.
What’s the best time to water your lawn?
Your new lawn will need Watering. Try to be fully equipped with a hose and a sprinkler before buying your turf. Getting the water into the soil is crucial, as the roots need to establish. You will also want to get the water away from the hot surface as it could evaporate rapidly. Water droplets evaporate quickly when the sun directly hits them, and heat is high. To avoid this evaporation, the best time to water your garden is early in the morning and late afternoon/evening (avoiding the sun in its peak times). To check your lawn has absorbed the water lift 1 corner of a turf to ensure the turf is moist all the way through and the soil underneath is also moist.
